Dax / Evolution in Progress

Hey, I’m Dax.

Life hasn’t followed a straight path for me—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, a city that shaped me in ways I’m still discovering, but also one I feel ready to move beyond. I was bought in to capitalism, the corporate grind used to have me locked by the jaws. I wore the mask like many do, did the jobs, and chased the version of success we’re all told to want—until everything fell apart.

In 2022, I lost my job and, shortly after, lost everything else: my home, my car, my credit score, my sanity and, in some ways, the version of myself I thought I had to be. But somewhere between the breakdowns and the gigs, I found something unexpected: freedom. What some call “ego death,” I call finding myself. Stripped of everything, I discovered who I was underneath it all: just a person, a soul in a meat suit, trying to figure it out like everyone else.

Nomadic Dax isn’t a brand, it’s just me navigating life. This is my outlet, my playground. It’s an evolving story about rejecting the conventional and embracing the unknown. It’s about finding beauty in simplicity and peace in uncertainty. It’s as simple as making art for the sake of making it, hypothetically building out ideas, or dreaming up new projects without the pressure to fit them into anyone’s expectations.

Here you’ll find traces of my journey—snapshots of moments that matter. I’m not selling a lifestyle or trying to impress anyone. I’m just sharing life as I live it: the highs, the lows, and everything in between.

I’m not here to monetize, sell my ideas or philosophies, I’m just here because I am at the moment.

My story is still being written. I don’t know exactly where I’m headed, but that’s the whole point. Whether it’s through photography, poetry, travel, or just existing unapologetically, I’m learning to trust the process and live fully in the now.

This space isn’t just for me, though—it’s for anyone trying to make sense of their journey, too.

That is all…
